What are the criteria for choosing a massage table for SPA&Wellness?

The main requirements that are put forward for massage equipment are ergonomics, wear resistance, the ability to withstand heavy loads, convenience and safety for clients, massage therapists and spa therapists.

  1. Dimensions. The width of the massage table should be at least 65 cm, the wider the couch, the more comfortable the client during the procedure. Recommended width dimensions are 70-84 cm. Length – at least 190-200 cm.
  2. Height adjustment. The massage table must be adjustable in height. This feature allows professionals of different heights to work. Massage tables with an electric wire and smooth height adjustment are the most convenient, the height is controlled from the remote control or using a foot pedal. Mechanical height adjustment is less convenient for both the master and the client.
  3. Number of sections. Tables with a large number of sections are mainly used for manual and therapeutic massages. In SPA, a large number of sections are non-functional for procedures, 1-2 sections will be enough. If you plan to conduct medical massages, osteopathy and kinesiotherapy, stretching procedures, you can increase the number of sections up to 3
  4. The basis of modern massage tables is usually made of metal or wood. If you choose a wooden base, it must be treated with a special moisture-resistant compound or made of extra-durable wood species.

  2. Safety – all corners and protrusions are rounded and insulated.
  3. Design – the appearance of the massage table should match the interior of the room. Color – can be any, because the massage table will almost always be covered with a terry sheet.
